Feast of Unleavened Bread 2018 - First Congregation of Yahweh

The Good News (Gospel) of Power

The first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread 2018 for the First Congregation of Yahweh was held in the Arnet Gardens, Kingston branch.

The morning session was highlighted by the sermon from Pastor Henry entitled: “The Good News (Gospel) of Power.”

Pastor Henry looked into the power available to believers and how some have allowed themselves to be overcome due to sin. He then showed the possible results of this error.

Engagement and Dedication

Two children were dedicated as well in the morning.  The morning session came to an exciting end with the engagement of two young members of the congregation, organist Matthew Lakeman from Kingston and singer Shaneika Edwards from Clark’s Town.

What Is The Good News?

In the afternoon session, host Pastor Robert Walker sought to answer the question, “What Is The Good News?”

Pastor Walker started by looking at that the good news (gospel) is not, by going into several popular false doctrines. He then spoke about what the good news is: the power of the death and resurrection of Yah’shua.

Featured here are photo and video highlights of the Feast of Unleavened Bread 2018 in Kingston. The 7-day feast continues in each branch of the First Congregation of Yahweh.

The Mystery of the 7 Lamps and 7 Stars

Pastor Robert Walker presents “The Mystery of the 7 Lamps and the 7 Stars” in the Kingston branch of the First Congregation of Yahweh International. The source scripture was taken from Revelation Chapter 1:11-20. The occasion was Sabbath Day, Octoberber 7, 2017.

All branches of First Congregation of Yahweh met in Kingston for the seventh day Sabbath during the Feast of Tabernacles.

The theme of the feast is “Yahshua’s Message to The Assembly Today,” based on the letters to the assemblies in Asia, from Revelation chapters 2 to 3.

Take a look at the opening day of the Feast of Tabernacles in Clark’s Town on October 5, 2017.

End Feast Medley Unleavened Bread 2017

The Feast of Unleavened Bread 2017 came to an end in Clark’s Town on Tuesday, April 18, 2017. As usual, it incorporated all 4 groups from western Jamaica (Content, Paisley, Yorkland and Clark’s Town).

The day was marred by the news that one of the mothers of the assembly, Mother Estelle, had been admitted to hospital. Notably missing from the assembly were Sisters Joan and Ffrenchie, who were with their mom in the St Ann’s Bay hospital. Full Story.

Pastor Lewis presented a great sermon about faith, connected to the theme: “the Kingdom, a present reality.”

The day ended in the mid afternoon with the saints celebrating, singing a medley of songs, which we feature in the video below.

Pastor Walker - Judith - Bernadette - Veronique

The highlight of the Feast of Unleavened Bread 2017 was the meeting of all the groups in Kingston on Sabbath, April 15.

There were two sermons from the day. The first was Walking in Kingdom Power by Pastor Robert Walker that we feature here and another by Pastor Robert Kerr of the Douglas Castle assembly in Clarendon.

Sister Wilson - Joan Lewis

Recording the video was done by holding a phone in hand, so the video is a bit shaky at times. It was a little too much to do two videos in that manner, so the second sermon was not recorded.

We would like to share three videos from Sabbath service on March 18, 2017.

The theme of the First Congregation of Yahweh International’s Feast of Unleavened Bread 2017 is “The Kingdom, A Present Reality.”

Overseer Pastor Lynval Henry delivered a preview of the theme in his home assembly in Clark’s Town, Trelawny.

Pastor Henry will be away in the United States for the entire feast, so this preview will be his only contribution to the theme for the Feast of Unleavened Bread.

First, Sister Ffrenchie Taylor sings: “I’d Rather Have Yahshua.”

Sister Nolda Brown gives her testimony about the health of her husband, Elder Gladstone Brown, who has been ill with a heart problem for the past couple months.

The last great day 2016 - sister wright and wilson

The Feast of Tabernacles 2016 for the First Congregation of Yahweh International came to an end in Clark’s Town on the 24th of October.

There was a pleasant surprise in the person of Pastor Robert Walker of the Kingston Congregation as a result of host Pastor Lynval Henry’s continued recovery from the car accident in Clark’s Town a few days before.

It was a day of rejoicing as saints shouted praises to Yahweh for his mercies in preserving the four occupants of the vehicle.

Pastor Walker’s message was entitled: “The Gift of Giving.”

GREETINGS

After the message, saints greeted each other in love. It was another successful feast and the theme was well embraced and expounded throughout the week long Feast of Tabernacles.

This blog covers the Feast of Tabernacles 2016 in the First Congregation of Yahweh International in Clark’s Town, Trelawny. Feast of Trumpets (October 3) was not held due to the then expected impact of Hurricane Matthew, but there was only showers of blessings on opening day of the Feast of Tabernacles, 2016.

The Feast saw 4 groups coming together: Content, Yorkland and Paisley from St. James and main assembly Clark’s Town. Missing were the saints from West Road in Kingston, but this Sabbath, all 5 groups will meet up in Kingston to celebrate the Sabbath.

Here are picture and video highlights from the day:

The annual Feast of Trumpets has been cancelled as a result of the threat from the approach of Hurricane Matthew towards Jamaica.

The hurricane is forecast to hit the island on the day of the feast.

This is reminiscent of the year 1988, when Hurricane Gilbert forced the cancelling of the Feast of Trumpets. That year, the hurricane did hit, causing much devastation all over the island.

UPDATE: In the end, little or nothing was felt at our end of the island as Matthew veered to the north east away from Jamaica and straight to Haiti, There it caused great devastation including the death of over 1000 persons.
