End Feast Medley Unleavened Bread 2017

The Feast of Unleavened Bread 2017 came to an end in Clark’s Town on Tuesday, April 18, 2017. As usual, it incorporated all 4 groups from western Jamaica (Content, Paisley, Yorkland and Clark’s Town).

The day was marred by the news that one of the mothers of the assembly, Mother Estelle, had been admitted to hospital. Notably missing from the assembly were Sisters Joan and Ffrenchie, who were with their mom in the St Ann’s Bay hospital. Full Story.

Pastor Lewis presented a great sermon about faith, connected to the theme: “the Kingdom, a present reality.”

The day ended in the mid afternoon with the saints celebrating, singing a medley of songs, which we feature in the video below.

Sabbath day February 11, 2017 saw the visit of Pastor Robert Kerr from the Douglas Castle congregation in Clarendon.

Pastor Lynval Henry delivered the Sabbath day study, whilst Pastor Robert Kerr delivered the word.

Before that there was a dedication and after the sermon by Pastor Kerr, there was the baptism of brother Robert Hanshaw.

Core scripture of Pastor Kerr’s sermon was taken from the story of Philip and the Ethiopian eunuch, which is found in Acts 8:26 – 39.

Acts 8:26 (YLT)

And a messenger of Yahweh spake unto Philip, saying, ‘Arise, and go on toward the south, on the way that is going down from Jerusalem to Gaza,’ –this is desert.

And having arisen, he went on, and lo, a man of Ethiopia, a eunuch, a man of rank, of Candace the queen of the Ethiopians, who was over all her treasure, who had come to worship to Jerusalem;

he was also returning, and is sitting on his chariot, and he was reading the prophet Isaiah.

And the Spirit said to Philip, ‘Go near, and be joined to this chariot;’

and Philip having run near, heard him reading the prophet Isaiah, and said, ‘Dost thou then know what thou dost read?’

and he said, ‘Why, how am I able, if some one may not guide me?’ he called Philip also, having come up, to sit with him.

And the contents of the Writing that he was reading was this: ‘As a sheep unto slaughter he was led, and as a lamb before his shearer dumb, so he doth not open his mouth;

in his humiliation his judgment was taken away, and his generation–who shall declare? because taken from the earth is his life.’

And the eunuch answering Philip said, ‘I pray thee, about whom doth the prophet say this? about himself, or about some other one?’

and Philip having opened his mouth, and having begun from this Writing, proclaimed good news to him–Yahshua.

And as they were going on the way, they came upon a certain water, and the eunuch said, ‘Lo, water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?’

And Philip said, ‘If thou dost believe out of all the heart, it is lawful;’ and he answering said, ‘I believe Yahshua HaMashiach to be the Son of Yahweh;’

and he commanded the chariot to stand still, and they both went down to the water, both Philip and the eunuch, and he baptized him;

and when they came up out of the water, the Spirit of Yahweh caught away Philip, and the eunuch saw him no more, for he was going on his way rejoicing;

Sabbath day February 11, 2017 was the day of the baptism of Robert Hanshaw from Falmouth here in Trelawny.

The baptism took place after Sabbath service and was performed by Pastor Robert Kerr of Douglas Castle congregation in Clarendon. He was assisted by Pastor Hopeton Gordon of Clark’s Town First Congregation of Yahweh International.

Incidentally, Pastor Kerr himself was baptized at the same place eight months ago by Overseer Lynval Henry. The video of Pastor Kerr’s baptism is also shown below.

Brother Robert has already started his street ministry, walking the streets of Falmouth enlightening others about the goodness of Yahweh, and the impact Yahweh has made in his life. He anxiously hastened his baptism as he said he can’t wait to officially be a part of the family at the Congregation of Yahweh.

We welcome brother Robert Hanshaw to the family of First Congregation of Yahweh International. We pray he will fulfil the purpose for which he was called.

King Solomon and Queen of Sheba
Sampson and Delilah

Youth link has been revived in the Clark’s Town branch. Under the leadership of Sister Ffrenchie Taylor, youth meetings have taken on added significance.

Previously, the youths met with Sister Ffrenchie only when there was a project, such as preparation for Youth Sabbath. For the past three weeks however, Sabbath afternoons, starting at 4 o’clock, has seen regular Youth Link. It is marked by activities that engage the youth in a relaxed atmosphere, yet with powerful spiritual lessons. These activities include songs, skits, discussions, debates and other presentations.

The activities are not confined to the young as adults also take part in the weekly activities.

According to Sister Ffrenchie, this keeps the young people of the congregation spiritually occupied throughout the Sabbath day as the proceedings end around sunset.

Below are some photos from this weeks proceedings. The first presentation was the story of Solomon and the Queen of Sheba. The second presentation was the story of Sampson and Delilah.

The last great day 2016 - sister wright and wilson

The Feast of Tabernacles 2016 for the First Congregation of Yahweh International came to an end in Clark’s Town on the 24th of October.

There was a pleasant surprise in the person of Pastor Robert Walker of the Kingston Congregation as a result of host Pastor Lynval Henry’s continued recovery from the car accident in Clark’s Town a few days before.

It was a day of rejoicing as saints shouted praises to Yahweh for his mercies in preserving the four occupants of the vehicle.

Pastor Walker’s message was entitled: “The Gift of Giving.”

After the message, saints greeted each other in love. It was another successful feast and the theme was well embraced and expounded throughout the week long Feast of Tabernacles.

Pastor Lynval Henry presents his sermon at the Clark’s Town branch of First Congregation of Yahweh International. This was Sabbath day service on September 10, 2016.

This sermon looks at “The Path to Revival.” Pastor looks at how becoming humble and of a contrite spirit could set us on our way on our way to a revival.

Core scripture is taken from Isaiah 66:1-2:

Thus saith YHWH, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest?

For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith YHWH: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.

On Sabbath, June 11, Seven members of the Douglas Castle congregation in Clarendon were baptized in the First Congregation of Yahweh International, Clarks Town. Although not a part of our congregation, Yahweh has linked the Douglas Castle congregation to ours in an interesting way.

The Douglas Castle Story

A young member of our congregation was in Clarendon on a visit with a friend who took her to a Christian church. Feeling uncomfortable, she left the church and faintly heard the name Yahweh coming from the distance. She followed the sound and came upon the meeting of a small assembly of believers and worshiped with them. Afterwards, she met the Pastor (Robert Kerr), who had heard Pastor Lynval Henry’s sermons on the radio.

The link was made and Pastor Kerr visited our congregation and got baptized in the name of Yahshua a few weeks ago. Pastor Henry, in turn, visited the Douglas Castle group.

Pastor Kerr returned yesterday with the rest of his flock and 7 of them (1 male and 6 females) were baptized in the name of Yahshua HaMashiach. Yahweh truly has a way of bringing his people together!

Here are the videos from the event.
